Flagstaff Weekend Retreat July 2026 Co-Teaching with Diana Clark
In-Person Weekend Meditation Retreat
Topic: Where the Heart Finds Refuge
Where does the heart go for refuge?
In the busyness and uncertainty of our lives, the heart can often feel scattered, guarded, or weary. Insight Meditation offers a simple and steady way of returning to what is most trustworthy: the immediacy of the present moment, the wisdom of the body, and the quiet strength of mindful awareness.
Through the gentle practices of sitting and walking meditation, we learn to listen more deeply to our experience. We begin to discover that refuge is not somewhere far away. It can be found here, in the breath, in the body, in kindness, in the capacity to meet this life with greater presence and care.
This non-residential weekend retreat provides an opportunity for extended sitting and walking meditation. The retreat will be held mostly in silence, with practice instructions, Dharma reflections, and teacher-led discussions. It is suitable for beginners as well as experienced practitioners. Attendance for the entire retreat is required.
